ROTTERDAM, ZUID-HOLLAND, THE NETHERLANDS, August 16, 2022/EINPresswire.com/ -- British banking Juggernaut - Barclays has declared war on credit card fraud with a new system to improve credit card security, based on encryption technology used by the Nazis during World War II. According to the British daily The Telegraph*, inventors David Taylor and George French based their design on Engima, a coding machine invented at the end of World War I and used by the Nazis from the 1930s onward to encrypt messages by producing different combinations of numbers at various intervals, leading to constantly changing codes. The Enigma Cryptanalysis Duo along with Barclays, have secured a patent for the retro invention. A spokesman for Barclays told The Telegraph that there is currently no timetable for the technology’s release to Barclays customers. Alan Turing, the Bletchley Park codebreaker saved 'millions of lives' by solving the Enigma cipher by reverse-engineering the inner workings of the machine. If the U-boat Enigma had not been broken, the war would have continued for another two or three years, and a further 14 to 21 million people would have been killed on both sides. The National Socialist Party, led by Adolf Hitler, which controlled Germany from 1933 to 1945 were making preparations to replace the pound sign or hash symbol, #, with a Nazi Swastika symbol on all German made typewriters and Enigma machines used to protect commercial, diplomatic, and military communications. It was employed extensively by Nazi Germany during World War II, in all branches of the German military. 41-year-old Nobel peace prize nominee Chris Messina invented the hashtag in 2007 for Twitter. Hashtags are now used by millions of people around the world to search for the same exact term, ingenious no less. Now if Hitler had won the war, we would be using the Swastika Hashtag while Exploring the Twitterverse. In 1920, Adolf Hitler decided that the Nazi Party needed its own insignia and flag. For Hitler, the new flag had to be “a symbol of our own struggle” as well as “highly effective as a poster.” On August 7, 1920, at the Salzburg Congress, this flag became the official emblem of the Nazi Party. In Mein Kampf, Hitler described the Nazis' new flag: “In red we see the social idea of the movement, in white the nationalistic idea, in the swastika the mission of the struggle for the victory of the Aryan man, and, by the same token, the victory of the idea of creative work, which as such always has been and always will be anti-Semitic.” Spoiler Alert: In case you missed that last day in history class, Adolf Hitler was hiding in the Führerbunker under the SS headquarters at Prinz-Albrecht-Straße in Berlin, The Führer commited suicide just ten days after his birthday on April 30, 1945, by swallowing a handful of cyanide capsules and blowing his brains out with a gold factory-engraved Walther PP presented to him on his 50th birthday by the manufacturer: Carl Walther GmbH. After heavy fighting, Nazi Germany unconditionally surrendered to Soviet forces on May 9th, 1945 “Victory Day” ending Hitler’s dreams of a “1,000-year” Reich.
